Wachshaus von Schneider is a logical collaboration between the two sisters, Dorothy Adeline (Dott von) and Jennifer Helen (Helen von). It is a partnership that honors love, nostalgia, and togetherness.
WvS is inspired by and dedicated to our mother, Maryanne Pauline Schneider (nee Dreslinski) who’s resourcefulness, artistic skill and overall craftiness shaped our core aesthetic interplay. Her basement craft workshop was a treasure of fabrics, ribbons, papers, yarn, clay, paints, and to our delight, the boxes of salvaged beeswax church candles which launched Wachshaus von Schneider with a series of hand sculpted vessels.
Each sale from our Etsy shop benefits a vital non-profit working in areas important to us and our community. We love that you are here, and we hope that your WvS object brings you joy and many reflective moments for years to come.
Helen von Schneider has worked as an event creative and event producer for cultural, commercial, and non-profit clients in Cleveland, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Cologne, and Berlin. She has a BA in German Comparative Literature from Cleveland State University, and is inspired by truthspeakers and truthseekers. See Helen's CV here
Dott von Schneider is a mixed media artist. Her work is about process, location, memory, and purpose. Von Schneider attended A.F.E.D.A.P., an applied arts atelier in Paris before receiving her degree from L’École des Beaux-arts de Rouen, now L’École Supérieure d’Art et Design Le Havre-Rouen. Her studio shelves have amassed a ridiculous and varied quantity of media from glitter to soil from her many travels. See Dott's CV here
